Hi and welcome to our small groups ministry! I’m glad that you found your way here!

Christian author Max Lucado writes:

[God] has no interest in being a weekend getaway or a Sunday bungalow or a summer cottage. Don’t consider using God as a vacation cabin or an eventual retirement home. He wants you under His roof now and always. He wants to be your mailing address, your point of reference; He wants to be your home.

Imagine your life as a wheel with the spokes being all the different things to which you give your time. Something is at the center of your wheel, the hub around which everything else in your life revolves. What is that for you? Work? Your kids? Your hobby? Something else?

God wants to be the hub of your wheel, the center of your life. In fact, that’s how He created your wheel to work in the first place. If anything else is at its center it’s going to thump along like a flat. Balance only occurs when the center is what was meant to be there; God. Being in a small group is a great way to break away from God as a “weekend getaway” and begin making Him your home; taking your faith from Sunday into the rest of your week; making God your hub rather than just one of your spokes.

Fellowship with other believers is essential to our walk through this life. The Church began with a small group of 12 after all. To the left you will find all of our open small groups. I hope that you’ll take some time to look through them and prayerfully consider giving one of them a try. You can contact leaders through e-mail (if available) by clicking on their names or giving them a call. They will be happy to answer any questions you have about their groups and help you get connected.

If you have any general questions about small groups please don’t hesitate to ask. Just click on “Contact us” on the menu. Don’t see a group that fits your needs or schedule? Click on “Suggest a new group” and I’ll do what I can to make that happen.

Enjoy your time here! It’s my prayer that you’ll be blessed and encouraged and that you’ll join us in our small groups ministry.

Peace,
Sharon Harwood
Small Groups Coordinator
